Far too hot to go at typical breakneck speeds needed to finish whole duty within contract hours on a busy Thursday, barely managed parcels for second half, letters brought back. There's going to be a big backlog come the end of this heatwave after the weekend.

Strange day today, morale in the office really really low, even from the more upbeat, most left half the walks in, seem most have given up on RM, the office is well & truly lost.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
thanks to the toxic working environment and economics, most hardworking postmen and postwomen are losing the will to live, let alone work. in a company that we should at least be a little bit protected, comforted, as we have a "good job" not so. the whole world is suffering apocalyptic conditions, i am not religious or communist but, fire, flood, drought, famine and war are all i see. we cannot change the weather but we could use the illegal disgusting wealth of the rich to make life more bearable for all. the division of wealth across the world is now at tipping point, may all their yachts catch fire.

Our managers have been good when we have had very hot weather, two of us just taking one side out, then just tracked on the other side, oversize and specials. Back early each time.

Inclement.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Thanks for your question.
It was unexpectedly dry, as I thought we were going to get an absolute deluge of rain, but happily it passed us right by.
