Well done you :left:
We've had a weirdly Quiet week. Three days I've "Nearly" managed to finish ON TIME! When you're used to booking 1-3 hours pressure on a regular basis is feels as if you've a "Light" day when you "Nearly" manage to finish on time. Don't know how long long this will continue, or if it's just the calm before the storm? Our DOM was even asking people to lapse earlier in the week. :left:

Well done everybody for your hard work over Christmas .. and Covid .. and when everone else was on a paid holiday, Sorry I meant Furlough.:speak to the hand
Still we're a Private Company now so we're only here to make MONEY for the shareholders.:cuppa

Could be people cutting back on spending after Xmas. If they're not already out credit card bills for January will be coming out fairly soon

So, as i posted above tomorrow is my last day after 35 1/2 years
I have given enough notice of my intentions to retire early, I told the DOM before Xmas that i didn't expect to be around by the end of January and i gave him 3 weeks informal notice which i eventually extended by cancelling leave this week due to other people being away (farewell drinks purposes only).
So today i was out on my Rural saying some goodbyes as i went round and receiving some nice pressies from people :nana
At 13.15 the lino rang me and asked are you doing your delivery tomorrow?
I replied "yes"
He said "would you mind training someone"
I politely refused his offer.
It going to be nice being back in the real world.

35 years is a hell of a long time, at least you will have a good pension, I have been here just shy of 15 years, and the pension pamphlet that comes every once in awhile telling me how little my pension will be is very sobering.

we have a crazy runner from a london office, i honestly dont know how or why he does it. clearing one of the biggest walks in the office every day, and taking lapsing most days.

New revision kicks in tomorrow my frame is all over the place so looks like I’ll have to redesign it.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Why would you redesign it? Your sequenced mail should come as management have designed your frame, if it's a balls up let management sort it :Very Happy

Been told I can change it but only if I’m not walking past houses with my trolley :hmmmm they say if I am they won’t change it. Which is fine as I can tie the frame up as I like but I’m on leave next week then it will get interesting.
