No that's what he is saying, they haven't resourced it properly. At this time of year then the USO is suspended its normal for not everything to be delivered to spec. Yes, we get more people because of no leave (as do MCs) and usually more vans, but Delivery rarely gets any casuals at Christmas so unless people do overtime there are not enough hours in the day. After Covid deliveries quite frankly are EXHAUSTED and no one wants the extra hours.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑06 Dec 2021, 20:42So you've got enough staff that ALL walks can go out AND large parcels be done separately as well?P13 wrote: ↑06 Dec 2021, 20:28None , no one is on holiday in DecemberSpacePhoenix wrote: ↑06 Dec 2021, 20:05Even if you had the vans, how many duties would have to be lapsed to free up the staff to do the large parcels?nuklearpuppy wrote: ↑06 Dec 2021, 19:47No help today on large parcels . Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Been delivering LAT's mainly for past 5 weeks, with some additional tracked and letters on lighter days.
Ive not seen any increase in Parcel volume yet, if anything its lighter now than it was a month ago.
So for "how was your day" today... I finished my LAT's in record time and was back at the DO just after 2pm. Luckily there was two full yorks of undelivered Tracked that was going to fail so after discussion with the late manager I took out another load that kept me busy till 6pm.
So overall a good and productive day!

Drowning in parcels, out late, no chance of getting all the letters done too by home time. Really hope it's lighter today, to have a chance of catching up.

Insane
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
