Toon Non drivers will work Saturdays within any normal rotation.

Newton Mearns the first pilot went live yesterday. They selected from the menu of options option which delivers 2 Saturdays Off in 5.

Cumbernauld goes 10th March which is the second pilot unit.

More will be reported later this week via and LTB.
And for non town non driving staff?
Apologies, I quoted thinking Toon meant 'Town', not realising it was short for a users name.

As a side point, no 2 offices are the same, we get that. Everyone is looking at this through the optics of their own office and wondering how on earth it will work.
If this system was launched tomorrow in our unit it would be Alan, Bob and Charlie covering duties A,B,C and D. Decent chance one of those staff doesn't drive, say Charlie, so it would be down to Alan and Bob to drive round A and B plus C and D on a Saturday and take turns at being the parcel/1st class only guy week about. Very little scope for Saturdays off. Charlie would be the 'walking' postperson every day Mon-Fri alternating. Plenty of scope for Saturdays off.
Is 1 in 3, or 2 in 5 Saturdays off an average thing, or is it set in stone like a rota?

Rurals will be either directed to pick up at the nearest collection point or no bueno. Firms will be a full duty, unless added to the walks. The rest will be passed back to you tax paying mugs to deal with. Don't forget to hate your government, Labour or Conservative!
