Experienced first hand a stand in Manager trying to intimidate me into not cutting off today.
I've heard of it happening but never experienced it before.
He quickly found out I do not respond well to intimidation and the DOM had to get involved.

DOM resolved it amicably but it left me fuming all day. To be fair its still grating me now as I have to work under him for several more weeks.

And breath....................

Today was a tough day doing the duty i am on with a sh*tload of packets and also half of another duty, Managed to finish just before it got dark. But once returning to the office round 5pm I could already see the amount of work left over as people cannot finish all these walks within their time what with all these parcels were getting each day. I haven't been here long enough to experience what a Christmas at RM is like but i am guessing from next week on wards i am about to find out as i and many other part timers in my office will be made up to full time from the beginning of next week so we do our duties to begin with then come back to the delivery office grab a van if we haven't already got one and do the left over packets. I agreed with the DOM that so long as its packets i will be okay to do them but he cannot throw in no letters or walks that couldn't be completed.

It will be a good month of struggling. But after that i have a nice long holiday booked in January so will be the best time to recover from the pain of RM Christmas

So the fun starts from tomorrow morning, after some of today's Black Friday orders go through?

Does that I mean I can leave ~50% of my frame tomorrow instead of ~66% today, to finish on time? :left:

After next week it should start easing up. This black Friday crap means November is now really heavy but looking on the bright side it does take the pressure off a bit for December! :nana

Utterly mental today, snowed under with parcels.

Worked nights at Christmas for the last 11 or 12 years and never had anywhere as near as many large packets this far away from Christmas before as we had last night. Black Friday must have really taken off. I reckon the next few nights will be the same too. There was already a lot of cut off bags and Yorks of packets left from Saturday and expecting to see a lot more when I go in tonight.

Mmm same here. No flats or magazines to speak of, just normal parcels for a usual busy-ish time of year...

Had an amazon logistics guy deliver to my house at 6pm tho - his van was still pretty full. I think maybe that explains it!
