Started my new HCT round today. After being on a rural round in the van for the past 9 months it absolutely killed me all the walking and pushing that trolley up hills. I feel like a newbie again.

Horrible busy day.

Now it's apparently no longer called lapsing in our DO. It's just "your bit to do". Needless to say i didn't do it as there was no time.

No work time learning, no shock there, I did not finish 30mins early by not having it though (strange that). Finished on time, just, after doing half the portering I am supposed to do according to the frame 318.

Why did RM spend money on converting a room specifically to a labelled "working time learning and listening" room in our depot in recent years? Has not had use since last summer!

Almost forgot my "event of the working day."

No, I will not use your brand new kitchen cool box as a safeplace, if I get no answer from the door for non-signature attendance call parcels. I can open it, you can open it, so can anyone else!

Cue look of confusion on resident's face.

Mad busy.

Arrived at my part time start time only to be told I;m going on an HCT walk today. OK boss.

No D2Ds prepped, nor any election material prepped, nor was the two bags of packets and 3 trays of flats for the walk touched. :mad  No help from colleagues either, as they are all busy running around, skipping their breaks, not bothering to empty their boxes so they can get out early and back early. :so there By the time I got all this done, eventually got out the office for 10:15 :thumbdown  Eventually rolled back in just after 4pm! :mad

Ridiculously busy. As of last week we were told our new start time is 6.45am as opposed to 6.30 so they are able to get more mail on the first run and there won't be much on the second run. 8am the second van arrives with more mail on than the first! Needless to say were didn't get out until 10 and didn't finish until 3.
