It's a stupid idea, how about having 4 posties in 2 vans like now, doing 1 full walk and then first class and tracked off the other, instead of putting more walks in, make the pairings big enough to accommodate this.
That 3rd person in the van by there self's are gonna do nowt. The van share will have to pick up the slack the next day this is guaranteed. Slackers are defo gonna pick the singletons

How so?
The person in the single van which is part of the 3 people doing 4 duties is still doing 8 loops of mail each day?
I think you might be confusing them with the rurals and current single vans who are doing HALF a walk each day and have to come and help the groups of 3. I agree, they will be doing very little.
As I said before. The rural and firm jobs will be snapped up by senior posties. The very people who wont be getting back early to help out. Either because their age slows them down or they know the most how to play the system. I can see huge arguments and disciplinary cases. Senior people are the least likely to be bullied by managers.

The people likely to get those duties plus the single driver in the 4 into 3 are who the CwU are banking on to vote this in.
As a DPR driver I've been asking for month's from managers and the union can you define "parcels"
Let's take the DPR out of the equation, what volume of Tracked and non tracked parcels (Large and small) are morning posties going to take out ? All of it ?
